Yeah, I remember this. Pepsi's blunder as they tried to ride the wave of the "clear beverage" trend in the mid to late '90's. Dreamnt up by some idiot in a suit, no doubt, FAILED because people were expecting the flavor of Pepsi BUT CLEAR (just like the name suggests, right?) -- NOPE, it was a weird artificial berry-fruity flavor if I can remember correctly from the ONE time I tried it. Pepsi could have simply omitted their caramel coloring agent, saved money (and consumer spending on teeth whiteners), increased market share, and created a "new" product etc. A crystal cleat failure.

I agree with Beavis Christ, if they had just took out the color it would probably still be around today. However, it doesn't fail on the sociality side, here we are,almost 18 years later, still talking about it! (1992-2009)
