Basically all of the Lays brand potato chips, just made with 100% potato, less salts/fat, etc. Commercials had people taking a bite into a chip and then saying, "Wow!" They were supposed to be healthier for you and taste even better.

These chips were grossssss I got so sick off these. Screw Olestra.
I loved them. They didn't affect me in those ways. They had the best taste.
goes to show why those things are no longer being sold in stores. Diahrrea does not stay "en vogue" for too long.

I was 12 and I ate half the bag woke up at 1 am ran to the bathroom and was in there for hours Olestra is evil.
There still being sold, with an "altered" formula, under the new name Lay's Lights.
I farted grease for 3 years. really ruined prom. 3 people slipped, i got suspended, thanks lays!!
There was a warning on the bag when these first came out that "This product might cause anal leakage". That pretty much killed it, and anything made with Olean for me.
What people didn't seem to get about these is that you'd only get the nasty side effects if you ate a whole bag in one sitting. Still, that pretty much killed the use of Olestra as a food additive.
