it may not be a song that everyone knows, but it tells the whole story of nirvana just in the sound.
    • 7. Good Ridance by Greenday
one of my favorite bands and one of there most punk songs. to all u hardheads that dont think its a punk song just remember that punk doesnt mean green hair, safety pins through ur nose piercing and a lot of cuss words. punk means u dont care what other people think of u because you are happy for what u r which greenday truely shows in that song
    • 6. Pride by No Use For A Name
ide be surprised if any of u guys have heard of them but they are punk and they kick ass
    • 5. Unforgiven 2 by Metallica
they have everything a good band should have and this song just goes to prove it. I actually like the first version better, but this one was made in the 90s.
    • 4. Lake Of Fire by Nirvana
this is a song that is not written by kurt cobain or nirvana but it just shows u that u dont need exploding rock, screaming vocals, and smashing drums to have a good song
    • 3. Give It Away by Red Hot Chili Peppers
you cant denigh the great funk talent of the red hot chili peppers
    • 2. Ebin by Sublime
not one of their most popular songs but it certainly has a lot of class, great lyrics and a sick solo
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
this is not my favorite song by nirvana, although nirvana is my favorite band. but i had to put this at number one because without this song none of u would know who they are.

i think you guys need to stop thinking about what everyone else likes and what the hype is and just listen to what u want to listen to because in the end ur only fooling urself by not being urself

    • 10. Serve The Servants by Nirvana
i couldnt let them out...althought smells like was the hot stuff,i prefer not being too obvious,by saying what all of u know...,but if you get the chance to listen to a second song by them, stick with this one...it preety much resumes kurt cobain the songwriter.
    • 9. Buddy Holly by Weezer
their first album is very important to music... i dont know why is so cool, it feels cool,i dunno. and this is the best track.
    • 8. Live Forever by Oasis
best ballad of the '90s ... just go listen to it!im not kidding.
    • 7. Creep by Radiohead
well, shoot me if you have never felt like those lyrics...that is what a good song is made of...it says something about all of us.its interesting how the bands from britain got that noise spirit when grunge came out and added their unique melodic thing.this is a classic example.
    • 6. Alive by Pearl Jam
when this came out it sounded really fresh, like a deep breath...their formula was overused after that, and the kids around who like limp bizkit may not understand how important it was. this song was on the radio 24 hours a day...it so reminds me the early 90s and its music.
    • 5. Everlong by Foo Fighters
this song really rocks. its very massive,but...it feels like arena but it is very punk feeling at the same time.i think its the combination of the words and the music, you know?there is a connection that works so well...Dave Grohl has made other gems too.
    • 4. Turn by Travis
beautiful song, nice lyrics, very well-done music, these guys can write...listen to some other songs by them, too.storngly reccomended
    • 3. Alcoholiday by Teenage Fanclub
the coolest under rated band ever...they deserved a better sucess...maybe thats better off the way things happened
    • 2. Song 2 by Blur
man,i cant think of any other chorus like this one ,its a genious thing...could you do the same?. this song can make dead men walk.and sing woo-hoo.
    • 1. Rock And Roll Star by Oasis
the song is powerful, just play it loud and youll get that adrenaline running through your entire body, plus the lyrics say everything that everyone who is into music always thought.Oasis is the typical rock and roll band...either you love them or hate them.only a few bands can achieve that. its not a pushed "fuck off " attitude, they're real.
