      One of the best songs of its time, something we listened to over and over without boredom.
    • 7. Pearl Jam by Better Man
      My fave song by them without a doubt, last kiss and jeremy are other good ones.
    • 6. Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots
      A great song i can listen to over and over, also check out plush and creep.
    • 5. Don't Speak by No Doubt
      Well where they are nowadays i would love to take them off list list, but i loved the song with all my heart when it came out, tragic kingdom was such an addictive album, but then they kill it with the garbage they call music today.
    • 4. One Headlight by Wallflowers
      This was my other favorite group in their day (second to green day), but with many people they were never that big, great music, great songs.
    • 3. Good Riddiance by Green Day
      My personal fave of green days songs, they have so many good songs, but as you may notice i wanted to limit my top 10 list to one song per group, if you dont like green day, then go live in cuba, and thats all i have to say about that.
    • 2. Bullet With Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins
      My favorite group after they finished, i didnt really appreciate their music sadly until they were gone, and now i wish they never left, other great songs were 1979, stand inside your love, tonight, thirty three, etc.
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirt by Nirvana
      No comment is really needed, simply the best song ever to come from this time.

    Ok my list can definitely be argued after Smells Like Teen Spirt, that is definitely the number 1, after that, its a good battle which i even change my ideas from time to time, but these are def some of the top rock songs of the 90s no doubt about it.

      best song you never heard. it's on the 'singles' movie soundtrack... not only does it rock, but it also has some really deep lyrics.

      why is this song missing from so many lists?

      their best song, but they have like 5 others that are extremely close
    • 4. Enter Sandman by Matallica
      one of their best songs, and certainly their best from the 90's
    • 3. Creep by Radiohead
      who can't relate to this song in some way?
    • 2. Black by Pearl Jam
      maybe the most emotional rock song ever written. do yourself a favor and listen to the 'live on two legs' version. the solo is amazing at the end

      One, if not the ultimate grunge rock songs!

      Simple, Suggestive, prophetic, beautiful

      It changed the world with four lightly distorted power chords.

    Nirvana definatly changed the world. Now we just need to wait for the torch to be passed down . . .
