    • 10. Alive by Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam strikes one more time. This song features a great guitar solo at the end of the song.
    • 9. Down in a Hole by Alice in Chains
I particularly like the unplugged version.
    • 8. Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam
It's a shame that this song wasn't allowed on the Ten album due to it's similarity to a Jimi Hendrix song. If it would have made it, Ten would have been that much better.
    • 7. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots
Plush heads one of the best albums of the nineties in Core.
    • 6. Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins
Disarm has a unique sound and is one of the all time greats. My favorite Smashing Pumkins song.
    • 5. Self-Esteem by The Offspring
This is a great song and Smash is a good album. I wish that Offspring would have kept the grunge sound.
    • 4. Machinehead by Bush
I think that this song is Bush's masterpiece along with Glycerine. By the way I think that sixteen stone is one of the most underrated albums of the nineties.
    • 3. Man in the Box by Alice in Chains
Another classic Grunge song. Great vocals and music from the late Layne Staley.
    • 2. Jeremy by Pearl Jam
One of the most emotional songs of all time. And also has the most disturbing and in my opinion best video of all time.
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
This song changed the face of Music virtually overnight! The best song of the nineties, period.

I think that the nineties, at least the early nineties, rival the seventies as one of the greatest era of music ever.

A remake of a classic song, this one is a top favorite of mine.

I am Canadian and also a HUGE fan of Canadian music. Not that I have anything against musicians from anywhere else in the world, I just feel a strong sense of patriotic pride whenever I hear a good song by a Canadian artist. And nowadays, you can't turn on the radio, muchmusic, or MTV without hearing something Canadian!!! Way to go Avril, Sum 41, Shania, Barenaked Ladies, Nickelback, Lillix, etc. And, look out world...Canadians aren't sitting back and listening to the music anymore...they're making it!!!!!
