    • 1. I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan

    By: Arno Neveu
    • 10. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
Only number ten ?? Pardon me, but I think that the story of this band and their greatest songs were much more made in the 80's. In fact, this one is not so bad and a nice little ballad with catchy lyrics.
    • 9. Loser by Beck
The song that ended grunge. So pure and brilliant even though the lyrics don't mean anything at first sight. A great song.
    • 8. Hand In My Pocket by Alanis Morrisette
You're talking about the top ten songs of the 1990's. This is one of it. Ironic got out earlier, but I firmly think that Hand In My Pocket is the only song of this worldwide popular album. Great lyrics and she has such a great voice!
    • 7. Zombie by Cranberries
Oh yeah ! This song rocks. The voice of the singer is so pure but so raw at the same time. I don't get why they weren't able to do greater albums after this song. Wonderful.
    • 6. Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine
Although I prefer Bulls On Parade or Wake Up from this dead South Californian quartet, I must say that Killing In The Name is so brilliant that it is surely their best song. Say whatever you want, you can't deny that this song is a great hymn of the start of the nineties.
    • 5. Angel by Massive Attack
I don't get the point that everyone put Blue Lines in the top 10 albums of the 90's. Mezzanine is a whole lotta better !! And the first track from it, Angel, which you can hear on the soundtracks of Snatch and Go, is defenitely one of the greatest songs of the nineties.
    • 4. Sober by Tool
I prefer the way Aenima and Lateralus are, but obviously, this is the gift from Undertow from the great Californian band Tool. The album according to this song is not their best (Aenima and Lateralus are way more enjoyable), but, in fact, this song is the greatest they made... Absolutely fantastic, an auditive orgasm.
    • 3. Enter Sandman by Metallica
As Metallica made their best songs in the 80's, I must say that, however, Sandman is with no doubt the best one they made in the 90's, if not in all their carreer. Great start, great riffs, great voice, great solo !! It rocks yeah!
    • 2. Jeremy by Pearl Jam
Yet so similar but also so different from Nirvana, Pearl Jam released this song the same time Nirvana released Smells. And it f**king rocks !! Almost better than Smells.
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
What else to say ?? This is REALLY the hymn of the nineties. That's all else I have to say. Period.

This is only an opinion. However, if you don't agree with one goddamn song that there is in this list, what the hell are you doing here if you think you know music ?

    • 10. Wannabe by Spice Girls
Bash the Spice Girls all you want, but this song is catchy. i think it came out in 1996; everyone loved this song too. Very nostalgic.
    • 9. The Sign by Ace of Base
Such a roller skating song--who didn't like it? It didn't really make sense, but still very cool.
    • 8. Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin
I hope this isn't an 80's song. I don't really remember. I do know it's a Bob Marley remake- and you can whistle to it.
    • 7. Semi-charmed Kinda Life by 3rd Eye Blind
This song was their best-even if I trip over the lyrics like a drunkard.
    • 6. Hollows by Matt Pond PA
You probably haven't heard it, so I encourage you to download it. It's that great.
    • 5. Fast Car by Tracy Chapman
Tracy Chapman has some of the best songs ever. The lyrics are heartfelt and poignant, this song in particular.
    • 4. Everybody Hurts by REM
I think this song is applicable to nearly every person. It's nice to hear a song that doesn't romanticize suicide.
    • 3. Ironic by Alanis Morrisette
A good, nostalgic song. I loved this song when I was 10.
    • 2. One Headlight by Wallflowers
Just an altogether cool sounding song. It's kind of a forgotten one too- I haven't heard it on the radio since it was released.
    • 1. Quit Playing Games (with my heart) by Backstreet Boys
This was their debut in America, and though the words may be cliche, they may be a boy band, but admit it, you liked it.

These are all spur of the moment choices- but they're all worthy of remembrance.
