7. Dont Wanna Be Left Out by Powderfingera cool song from what still is the best australian band
6. Israels Son by SilverchairIn my opinion, frogstomp and freak show are the only silverchair albums worth listening to, and this song really stands out.
5. Pure Morning by PlaceboSo damn catchy.
4. This Is A Call by Foo Fighterswho wouldve thought that a song about fingernails could sound so good? Dave Grohl can really pull off a song that is so breezy, yet has a whole lot of emotion, but still ROCKS!

2. Rearviewmirror by Pearl JamI love this song. the guitar is awesome.
1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by NirvanaEasily the best song of the 90s. This song signaled one of the great turning points of music history
i was pretty young when most of these songs came out, but most of my cd collection is still early - mid 90s rock

10. 1979 by Smashing PumpkinsI love the smashing pumpkins. Nuff said
9. Song 2 by BlurOh man this song kicked so many people's asses. Still to this day have no idea what theyre saying. But i love it anyways?
8. Inside out by Eve 6I've loved probaly every eve 6 song there is. I listen to them and just think, summer, beach, guitars, sun...*drool*
7. Wonderwall by OasisI still listen to this song on a regular basis. At the time, i didn't really like them at all. But when i really got into the beatles a while back, i got a whole new appreciation for them.
6. Mmm Mmm Mmm by Crash Test DummiesThis song was soo great, i remember when i was like 6 listening to this song in the car with my dad.*nostagia*
5. Black Hole Sun by SoundgardenThis is a really kicken song.
4. Criminal by Fiona AppleI love Fiona as it is, but let's face it, her popularity faded along with the 90s. And this song probaly got the most airplay before then.
3. Sex & Candy by Marcy PlaygroundClassic case of a band that churned out one grand song and were never heard of again.
2. Glycerine by BushThere isn't enough bush mentioned here! Bush was a GREAT band in the 90s. I loved them. Still do. And they need more credit.
1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by NirvanaLike almost anyone else will tell you. This song was revolutionary.

 By: Alec Balls

10. Betterman by Pearl JamThere are a myriad of songs from Pearl Jam such as Evenflow, Jeremy, Black, and Yellow Ledbetter just to name a very few. But Betterman was a personal favorite. Hard choice it's just my opinion.
9. Satellite by Dave Matthews Band The range on Dave's voice is hard to match. The band has a great variety of instruments that you don't see anywhere else. This song is simply great.
8. Black Hole Sun by SoundgardenKim Thayil's earie guitar and of course Chris Cornell's vocals make this song Soundgarden's best.
7. Sex Type Thing by Stone Temple PilotsThis song was on their Core album. This album I'd have to say was one of the best albums of the 90's. Everysong on it was great, this just happened to be my favorite.
6. Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the MachineWhen you have Tom Morello on guitar there's not much you can do to go wrong. With his creativity with making simple guitar riffs sound difficult and that infamous wah wah and whammy pedal, this song makes the list.
5. Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili PeppersThis song was originally a poem by Anthony Kiedis that turned into one of their greatest songs ever. It moves people on all kinds of levels and definitely is top 10 worthy.
4. Everlong by Foo FightersRather it's full band in your face rock or Dave on an acoustic, this song rips your heart out, caresses it, and puts it back where it should be.
3. Would? by Alice in ChainsFrom the beginning to the end this song was good. The opening bass riff gets you pumped for the song and the chorus is amazing. This finally brings us to the end of the song with that "If I could, would you?"
2. Master of Puppets by Metallica11 minutes of pure greatness. Between the lyrics and the solos this song was extremely close to my number one pick.
1. All Apologies and Come As You Are by NirvanaThese two songs were just unbelievably great. Way too hard to decide between them so I had to put them both.
Honorable Mention- any Nirvana or Metallica. Also, Live was huge as well as Collective Soul, CREED (sorry they didn't make the list), Marcy's Playground (Nice little one hit wonder), and last but certainly not least Smashing Pumpkins who honestly would have made the list but I only rembered them just now.
