    • 10. Ava Adore by The Smashing Pumpkins
The most underrated song of the 90's. People often use the electronica aspect of it to hate it. That's what makes it so damn good.
    • 9. Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers
This song is amazing in that it's a confession. Sometimes this song makes me cry.
    • 8. Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins
Who else besides Billy Corgan could put together a 40 piece violin part and put it on the radio and have people like it? The answer is: no one. This song is the most beautiful song of the 90's. I get a Billy Corgasm each time I hear it.
    • 7. You Know You're Right by Nirvana
This song is probably the most complex thing Kurt ever put together. I know it didn't come out in the 90's but it was written and recorded then, so it counts. I'm not one of those people who jumped on the Nirvana bandwagon when this song came out, but I must admit that when I heard it I was shocked. Kurt, our resident rock star who spelled his name wrong for two consecutive albums, put together a feedback masterpiece. It's beautiful and gross at the same time.
    • 6. 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins
      Self explanatory.
    • 5. Beautiful Day by U2
U2's most recent album, All That You Can't Leave Behind was a masterpiece for rock. It had alternative elements whlie still retaining that U2 edge. This single had it all, positive sounds, great lyrics, and a killer riff.
    • 4. Today by The Smashing Pumpkins
From the opening three notes to the final CRUNCH, you're hooked. A catchy hook, awesome vocals, and a melody to die for make this song one of the best.
    • 3. Closer by Nine Inch Nails
When a band can write a song as vulgar as this and get it played on the radio, you know they have done something right.
    • 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
It's a cliche, but admittedly, this song is awesome. How simple can a solo get?
    • 1. Bullet With Butterfly Wings by The Smashing Pumpkins
No other song captured the angst of a generation better than Bullet With Butterfly Wings. It was all about wanting to do something, but knowing you were powerless to do anything. Most people would put Smells Like Teen Spirit here, but I disagree.
