  Listen to the song lyrics... yep, just abit disturbing, but all in all,an amazing song
• 1. Get What You Give by The New Radicals
  this is my anthem, I have, and will love this song for years, reminds me of a time when i was really happy, and the lyrics are pritty profound

  So simple, so stupid, so instantly catchy. Awesome

  This was in the middle of their shift to total weirdness. A beautiful throwback to glorious King Crimson.
• 7. Come Out and Play by The Offspring
  Sure it was a novelty song. But what a great novelty.
• 6. Basket Case by Green Day
  Instantly hummable yet still punk
• 5. Closer by Nine Inch Nails
  A great nasty song disguised in dance beats and distortion
• 4. Loser by Beck
  A song that changed my outlook on what music could be and Beck had only just begun
• 3. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
  The closest anyone came to combining The Beatles with grunge
• 2. Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots
  A great song by a very good underrated band
• 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
  Changed music and especially radio forever. Squashed hair metal and helped indie rock rule for a couple years

The 90's were an amazing time for music. I'm in my late 30's and Nirvana opened my eyes to a new reality of music. I didn't even mention a lot of my favorite bands let alone songs they've done. Even if this were a top 100 list I'd still feel guilty about leaving somebody off. Let's hope radio once again catches up to what's really good out there, so I can hear some of the stuff I actually buy on the radio.
