10. Creep by RadioheadAnother song with a beautiful melody. One of my favorite slower songs of the 1990's.
9. Losing My Religion by R.E.M.This is a cool song, I love it. It's a very repetitive song, but it's the best repetitive song from the 90's.
8. No Rain by Blind MelonAnother Blind Melon song, and by far the most popular. Every time I listen to it I feel happy, it's almost like "No Rain" is a breath of fresh air. This song was the only famous song by Blind Melon, and it ultimately put them on the map in the music industry.
7. Soundgarden by Black Hole SunThis song has an extremely beautiful melody. Chris Cornell has an amazing voice.
6. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle by NirvanaAlthough "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is the greatest song of the 90's without any doubt, this is my favorite NIRVANA song. This song might not have defined an age, but it is very emotional and extremely powerful. This song has some of my favorite lyrics. "She'll come back as fire, to burn all the liars, and leave a blanket of ash on the ground" R.I.P. Kurt.
5. Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chilli PeppersRed Hot Chili Peppers are one of my favorite 90's bands. This is a great song with an awesome melody. The Peppers best song.
4. Paranoid Android by RadioheadThis song just rocks. Radiohead was awesome.
3. Blind Melon by ChangeBlind Melon was in my opinion the most underrated band of the 90's. When Shannon Hoon died of an overdose in 1995 (28 years old) we lost an extremely talented musician. This is a beautful song with powerful lyrics.
2. Soundgarden by Fell on Black DaysIn my opinion, Chris Cornell has the greatest voice of any frontman in the history of rock music. Yes, better than Plant, Morrison, Mercury, Daltrey, and a better voice than Cobain too. This is truly an amazing song.
1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by NirvanaThis song defined the 90's, and is also one one the greatest songs ever. It brought grunge into the mainstream. When Kurt died in 1994, he took grunge music down with him.
