What are your top ten favorite songs from the 90s?

    By: Lee
    • 10. Bullet with Butterfly wings by Smashing Pumpkins
This was the rock song for the mid 90's, great music, great lyrics...great overall
    • 9. High by Feeder
I guess not many people know this tune...but its a good one for this generation.
    • 8. Take a Picture by Filter
Just a solid song all the way through.
    • 7. California love or 2 Live and die in L.A. by 2pac
The innovator representing Cali. I personally live 2Live and die in LA better, but it didn't have the same impact on the 90s that california love did, everyone knows that song even if they're not a rap fan. This is true rap, not like some of today shit where all they talk and care about is bling bling...
    • 6. Superman's Dead by Our Lady Peace
The hook on this song is just awesome....well so is the rest of it too. Raine Maida's voice is perfect for this song.
    • 5. Above by Finger Eleven
More finger eleven. Another great tune, not as good as tip but still solid. If any of you aint heard these guys you should go download some, especially if u like stuff like A perfect circle,fuel,filter,creed...stuff like that.
    • 4. Coming of Age part 2 by Jay-Z featuring Memphis bleek
I cant beleive how good this song is, it just gets better the more and more you lisen to it. You have to listen to it alot, the fist couple times you listen to it, you think its about something, then when u actually listen to it properly after a couple times, you realize what its really about. Plus memphis bleek is just awesome of this joint.
    • 3. My Own Prison or Whats this life for by Creed
Their best work, actually the whole album is way better than Human Clay is, its not even close.
    • 2. Life Goes On by 2Pac
This song is the shit, i think it's probably 2pac's best song ever...you cant just hear it, you have to listen to it.
    • 1. Tip by Finger Eleven
Basically anything by finger eleven could be number one, they ARE that damn good.

First i gotta say that i didn't wanna put obvious shit like smells like teen spirit and stuff down cause that would be a waste since everyone else has it. Next i gotta ask how some of yall out there can have a whole list of just backstreet/nsync shit like that when they only been here like 3 years and if you think that there music is the best of the 90s there something wrong, its not even real music people. Last i gotta say that if damn hard just picking 10 songs, theres so many that were on the bubble that i could have picked so i'll put em here Clumsy-Our Lady peace,2 of amerikaz most wanted-2pac and snoop, nuttin but a G thang-Dre and snoop, one more astraonaut-I MOther Earth, josie/dammit-Blink 182, when i come around-Green Day,Self Esteem/gone away-Offspring aright im done...even i could go on for hours

Nirvana was definitely the best band of the 90's. They came along at a time when rock music needed a major kick in the arse (like today) and blew all those terrible 80's hair bands away.

The early 90's was the best. It all went downhill from there.
