    • 10. The Dolphins Cry by Live
      This song is amazing. The lyrics are amazing and it sounds unreal. By far the best song of the 90's.
    • 9. The World I Know by Collective Soul
      The music video is unreal. The song is classic, definitly one of the best.
    • 8. Counting Blue Cars by Dishwala
      This is another great song. I love it, I'm not sure what it's all about, but it's extremely cool.
    • 7. No Leaf Clover by Metallica
      Very cool song, it's more of a rock song, but I love it.
    • 6. Higher by Creed
      This song about lucid dreaming is one of the best out there.
    • 5. Fields Of Gold by Sting
      Great song, written very well.
    • 4. All Over You by Live
      One of the best songs around, I don't know else to say.
    • 3. Goodnight My Angle by Billy Joel
      I think it's also known as Lullabye. It's very nice.
    • 2. Glycerine by Bush
      The song reaks with sweetness.

      I like this song.

    • 9. Defender by Seaweed
      Unreal that bands like Candlebox got popular. This band should've been huge and the album this came from (Spanaway) should be considered a 90's classic alongside Dookie and Nevermind!

      Classic hook with cool stream of conscienceness lyrics.
    • 7. How I Could Just Kill A Man by Cypress Hill
      Smooth but fierce rap jam that heralded the stocking cap fashion trend. For real kid!
    • 6. Trigger Cut by Pavement
      Simply brilliant song craftsmanship, both lyrically and musically.
    • 5. Song 2 by Blur
      This song will wake you up when Oasis puts you to sleep.
    • 4. Cannonball by The Breeders
      When my friend was in jail back in '92, he had a Jamaican cellmate who went nuts for this song whenever it played on the radio. Nuff said.

      I like the Offspring, Green Day and Rancid, but this is my hands down favorite 90's punks song.
    • 2. Theresas Sound World by Sonic Youth
      Elegantly chaotic soundscape that never gets old. A must-hear for any true alt-rock fan.
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
      The initial strike of alternative rock in the 90's. Pulverized shallow metal and teen pop. Here's to history repeating itself.

    I know it's early, but my hope is that at least some of these songs would make it on a best of 90's rock CD sometime in the future. Along with anything by Mr. 90's himself....Morrisey!

      the beasties are some of the all-time greatest musicians by my standards and the way they combine rap, rock, and punk is damned impressive and so is this song.

      the rhcp have to be one of the most revolutionary bands of the 90's, this is their best in my opinion.

      buddy holly had a better video but this is still one of the best songs i've ever heard. up with nerd rock!!!!!!
    • 4. interstate love song by stone temple pilots
      stp at their very best. a true classic with some killer riffs and powerful vocals.

      this song started the whole green day craze and pumped life into the dying art of punk rock while reaching a whole new audience and they're still kickin' ass to this day and pumpin' out awesome tunes for the damn kids!

      one of the most dark and powerful songs of the 90's...they actually had to cut the original video because it was too graphic.
    • 1. smells like teen spirit by nirvana
      name a song that had a greater impact than this one...didn't think so. this song made alternative mainstream and changed music forever.

    Seatle Grunge was the greatest and will never die. No other music ever wiped a whole decade of music off the map and none ever will. If all these band were still around there wouldnt be any of this pop music crap

      One of their earlier ones, this is amazing, it's hard to pick a favourite Vertical Horizon song but this is really good.

      A wonderful song by a great band.

      Aerosmith are pretty good, this song is really great, unfortunately though, Armageddon wasn't so good.

      Impossible really to pick a favourite song from Mad Season but Rest Stop is awesome.
    • 6. Ana's Song (Open Fire) by Silverchair
      A great band. A great song.
    • 5. 72 Hour Gaze by Taxiride
      These guys are great and this one's better than Get Set in my mind. Only just though.
    • 4. Self Esteem by The Offspring
      The Offspring are a great band and this is their best song.
    • 3. Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls
      One of the greats, just great.
    • 2. Push by Matchbox 20
      The best band ever's best song.
    • 1. Smooth by Santana/Rob Thomas
      The best ever, one that's just sorta tattoed on my mind like no other.

    It's so hard to choose 10 songs out of such a great decade, and there are so many others worth mentioning, Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana (their only good one), Miss You Love by Silverchair, Take A Look Around by Limp Bizkit (their only good one), anything by Matchbox Twenty, Truly Madly Deeply and To The Moon And Back by Savage Garden, Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down, My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion, Blow Up The Pokies by The Whitlams, Get Set by Taxiride, Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon, Come Out And Play by The Offspring, Higher by Creed.... the list just goes on and on.
