    • 10. Amazed by Poe
Haunted is as a whole the most intimate music I have ever heard. Amazed simply moves you, as does the rest of the album. And her voice is also amazing. In one word, Beautiful
    • 9. Adia by Sarah McLachlan
Mirrorball is a great album as a whole. I love her voice.
    • 8. Fastblack by Full Devil Jacket
Great song by what will become a great band. I hope to hear more from them in the future.
    • 7. Bullet With Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins
A great song by a great band. They will be missed.
    • 6. Sleep by Stabbing Westward
One of the most disturbing, moving, and powerful songs ever written. A song everyone should listen closely to some time in their lives.
    • 5. Tool by Schism
Every Tool song deserves to be on this list. Schism is just the return of one of the greatest Industrial bands of all time after a two year absence.
    • 4. The Dolphins Cry by Live
The intended meaning of the song was pretty weak, but taken out of context it is one of the most moving songs I have ever heard.
    • 3. Witchhunt by MDFMK
Fast, Agressive, and it even has a message. Everyone who has any interest in Columbine and the fallout that many bands, including KMFDM, had to face should listen to this song and read the lyrics.
    • 2. Terror by KMFDM
One of the most meaningful songs of the 90's.
    • 1. Anarchy by KMFDM
The best of KMFDM's dark stuff.

Most of the music made by the artists on this list is just as good as the songs I chose and should be looked at also.

    • 10. Ready Or Not by Fugees
I love this song... Still listen to it... Wish Fugees would make another record as a group...
    • 9. Fuel by Shimmer
This was one of the first hits of this band... It's a great band and a great song... And like these guys said it... All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade, ie. the 90's :(
    • 8. The Way by Fastball
Don't know what this song is about... But it was a catchy tune as I remember it :)
    • 7. Name by Goo Goo Dolls
Great song... A lot of feeling... But over played a bit, don't ya think?
    • 6. Don Henley by Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat
Listened to this on the radio late at night on my walkman :)
    • 5. Ironic by Alanis Morsette
Great song... Funny how things change and how singers have breakdowns and appear naked later in their careers...
    • 4. Till I Hear It From You by Gin Blossoms
Reminds me of a hair salon in Urbana, IL... Don't ask me why... Gin Blossoms have been on the down low for the past 5 years or so... weird!
    • 3. Losing My Religion by R.E.M.
The lead singer might be gay, but it's still a good song...
    • 2. Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik
One hit wonders... What can I say, this is the only song by this guy I ever heard... Still good times remembered in good ol Mississippi
    • 1. Good Riddance by Greenday
it's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right... I hope you had the time of your life! Sums up the 90's for me :)

Just like to say goodbye to some friends I had in the 90's, that I've since lost: Ryan, Joe, David, Meredith, Gopal, Angela, Brandy, Joey, and Blake; I'll miss you guys ;) UMS, AMS, SHS, Wisewood

Biggest song from the two most influential rappers of the decade.
    • 9. Jeremy by Pearl Jam

Excellent rock song. This came out when I was a freshmen in High School. It really takes me back to those days when life was much simpler. That is what a good song does.

Dookie was the first CD I bought and this was just an amazing song for me.

Dave is the most creative songwriter to come along since John Lennon.

      Defined the Nineties. Enough Said.

There were many other great songs that shaped the decade of music: Beck's "Loser", Sublime's "What I Got", Dr. Dre's "Nuthin' But A G' Thing", Everclear's "Santa Monica", Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name", Radiohead's "Karma Police" and the Smashing Pumpkin's "Tonight, Tonight."

    By: A.K
    • 10. Inner City Life by Goldie
Dance music used to be great in the first half of the decade, Drum & Bass was probebly the last dance genre with any soul. Another nice tune.
    • 9. Just When You're Thinking Things Over by The Charlatans
They ain't as consistent as the Inspirals, but this was a great track one of their best.
    • 8. What The World Is Waiting For by The Stone Roses
I'm not their biggest fan I think their "Second Coming" album was terrible for so many reasons which I obviously ain't gonna go into now. They only put out 2 singles at the start of the 90's before that legendary 5 year abscence, this one which appeared with 'Fools Gold' is great.
    • 7. Olympian by Lush
Another nice track this from yet another underated band, they deserved to be massive.
    • 6. Out Of My League by Electronic
The Legendary Barney Sumner and Johnny Marr teaming up here for this little number.
    • 5. You Do Something To Me by Paul Weller
Very nice track this from the legendary cappachino kid.
    • 4. Sour Times by Portishead
Absolutely awesome there aren't many bands who do the business for me these days, but Portishead did. If you haven't heard this song you need to listen to Beth with the lyric 'Nobody Loves Me/It's True/Not Like You Do' Go on girl.
    • 3. How It Should Be by Inspiral Carpets
Extremely underated these lads were, easily the most consistent of the bands born out of the late 80's.
    • 2. Hold Onto Your Freinds by Morrissey
Not the most obvious choice of Moz', but I really really like this one from the best artist the world will ever see.
    • 1. Let Love Speak Up Itself by The Beautiful South
Easily the best band of the 90's, and still the only band around at the moment that matters. I could have put any of their songs here.

Honarable mentions for Elastica, Sleeper, Ecohbelly, Pulp, Dodgy, and Billy Bragg who continued to put out good tracks in the nineties, but you know what it's like when you have to narrow things down to a limit of 10. If it wasn't for all these guys though the past ten years would have been rubbish, there has been so much overated mediocraty such as Nirvana and Oasis taking way too much credit, and as for the Top 40 well that's dead.
