What are your top ten favorite songs from the 90s?

    By: Adam Wilkinson
    • 10. Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins
I love Smashing Pumpkins so much! I chose this song because....I don't know really. The line "the killer in me is the killer in you" just stays in my mind. I'm not really sure what it means, but it really does hit me hard.
    • 9. Black Metal by Venom
Quite simple really - they coined the phrase "black metal"!! And they did it pretty goddamn well too!!
    • 8. Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer
Slayer HAD to be in the list - they invented thrash metal!! I wasn't sure which song to choose, so I chose this one because I love the solo.
    • 7. A Gothic Romance by Cradle of Filth
I know I have already put them, but they're so good!!! And this song is sooo purdy!! And I met them!! -:oD
    • 6. All My Best Friends Are Metalheads by Less Than Jake
Another ska anthem!! LTJ are probably the most important ska punk band there is.
    • 5. Pennyroyal Tea by Nirvana
Oh my god this song is so amazing!! Especially the unplugged version. Kurt's voice is so good! I am a nirvana obsessive, so they had to go in more than once!
    • 4. Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath - truly amazing!! Seeing as they invented metal, they had to get a mention!! I didn't know what song to choose, I love them all!! Well, until Ozzy left. It was all downhill from there.
    • 3. Ska Wars by Capdown
Such a good song!!! I love it!! It's a ska anthem!!! Most people have never heard Capdown; I urge those people to listen!!
    • 2. Malice Through the Looking Glass by Cradle of Filth
Amazing song! I am a huge fan of Cradle of Filth. I actually met them! -:oD
    • 1. Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana
Unplugged - THE most amazing live performance EVER!!!! The way it is all quiet, and then Kurt just explodes into the powerful, beautiful, passionate ??scream?? (it's not a scream but I can't think of a word to describe it!!) just sends shivers down my spine every time!! The sigh, and then the look (for those who have seen the vid) just show all the effort and emotion he is putting in. OOHHHHHHHH NNNNIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRVVVVVAAAAANNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

That was so hard!!! I would also like to mention Mayhem, At The Gates, AFI, Bad Religion and a band called Route 215 who most people will not have heard of because they are a very underground ska punk type band. They are great and if you can check them out - DO!! Also, EVERY Nirvana song is the best in my opinion!! My God that was so hard to choose!!!!
