Description
Late last year a new cartoon show called DigiMon came on and with it came the toys. It's sort of a competitive edge to the ever popular Pokemon.

I was pretty sure Digimon came out first in Japan before Pokemon. But becauase Pokemon was licensed first for North America everyone in North America thinks Digimon is a knock off of Pokemon.

Digimon were fun. I remember when some fast food places were giving out Digimon toys. I had a few cards. I still was a MAJOR Pokemon addict, though!

I loved Digimon. I used to watch the show every morning. That and Pokemon, I loved em both!

Pokemon started airing in the us in 95. Digimon aired after and Monster Rancher after that but Monster Rancher is the oldest show. the only thing they have similar is they are monsters and their trainers/buddies/partners. I'd also include Zatch Bell in that genre
