These ponies were a far cry from the successful My Little Pony productions of the eighties. Actually they did so bad Hasbro took them off United States Toy Shelves. They reminded me of the anorexic looking line of my little ponies, less plastic and minimal symbols I guess allowed for a greater profit. They came out 97-99.

Ugh... can't describe how much I hated these new ponies. The original, "chubby" ones were far better than these creepy things... I'm glad that Hasbro returned to the original design. My sister got one of these "anorexic" ponies for birthday, and the only thing I wished for was that she'd threw it away. Sadly she still has it on her toy shelf :P.
My sister has like 20 of them!!!! She still has them!!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!!! I hate them!
There is one in our attic and I really want it back! :(
Generation 2 ponies or the very skinny ponies--I did not like these!
