    • 10. November Rain by Guns N' Roses
One of the last good GNR songs.
    • 9. Midlife Crisis by Faith No More
Shows the versatilty of the band. Bordin's drums dominate the song only second to Patton's voice.
    • 8. Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog
A great collaboration for an outstanding tribute to Mother Love Bone.
    • 7. Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam
The best Pearl Jam song in my book without a doubt.
    • 6. Heaven Beside You by Alice in Chains
A classic that just had to be thrown in. Duce was a great singer. He will be missed, but his legacy will remain in his music.
    • 5. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots
STP's best song in my mind.
    • 4. Lightning Crashes by Live
      Simple music, but meaningful lyrics
    • 3. Man in a Box by Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains was an example of grunge at it's greatest.
    • 2. Fell On Black Days by Soundgarden
Probably the best song off of Superunknown.
    • 1. Epic by Faith No More
Jim Martin's guitar and Mike Bordin's drums make this song simply fantastic. Throw in Patton's creativity and unbreakable voice and it is a classic and my #1.

It is always hard to pick the top ten songs of a decade. I stuck to my favorite part of the decade, the early 90s grunge movement. There are too many great bands that I did not mention because 10 songs is too few to characterise a decade.
