    • 10. 40 oz. to Freedom by Sublime
How can you go the wrong way with a 40 in hand and friends by your side.
    • 9. Date Rape by Sublime
A song about a girl who was date raped and scared his head, took him to court and then he got "butt-raped by a large inmate." I love stories with happy endings.
    • 8. No Rain by Blind Melon
Sad, another lost artist. But he wrote this superb song. Another video (When MTV played videos) that just stuck with me.
    • 7. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
The video, the song... just ingrained into a young boy's head... Awesome..

An anthem for those having a bad day wanting to be dumb. Or having a good day wanting to be dumb.
    • 2. Enter Sandman by MetallicA
Their new stuff may suck like an ape with a garden hose, but this mainstream breakthrough song has some of the coolest, hardest riffs. It's Kewl with a capitol K
    • 1. Lithium by Nirvana
"I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends, they're in my head." It has to be one of the greatest opening lines of a song... ever

How sad that 5 out of the nine different bands I listed lost their lead singers to drugs or other tragedies (I won't get into the Kurt Cobain thing) way too short.... And Layng Staley died long before his heart stopped beating in 2000....
