I had hundreds of those things. We called them Gelly Bracelets and we used to make flowers out of them. I think i still remember how to make them, too.

Yes, these were known as Shag bands where I live and I don't know how they figured it out but it was like.. If you owned one and it was broke by someone you was supposed to have sex with them.. I don't know how that originated but we all chewed at and broke our own so I guess that resulted in masturbation. xD

Yes those sex bracelets!!! I commented on the bff bracelets about those! I never liked them. My friends used to tell me if you get the black one you'd have bad luck or something. They still out now being sol with beauty products etc with 'never give up' 'keep striving' and so on and so forth.

The "sex bracelets" thing is just a stupid rumor. Your friends weren't being cool when they told you that black = bad luck.

Geez I might be the only guy here (give or take 3 or so) that still wears them >.< I got 4 of them on. Black, green, clear blue, and orange. I would take them off but I wore them for over 4 years without taking them off and they just turned rock hard. I can't even stretch any of them without cracking them. So it's pretty much a permanent bracelet lol

Hi-I'm 16 now and these are still popular in my school (maybe different types from what your talking about). I usually wear a yellow one (probably the most popular color). My girlfriend wears a green one. I don't know what the colors mean, I don't think there is any meaning, maybe just a meaning within a school. I wore a white one for a while since all the other kids on my baseball team wore a white one (for some reason, we don't really know). I went back to the yellow one now. Even though a very simple thing, I think it looks cool.

Brett is talking about the "Livestrong" bracelets popular around 2004, I think those are different from the ones in the 80's that were small round ones like what I remember from the early 80's-90's. Yes the Livestrong type of bracelet is still very popular with teens. A teenager at work wears one, he said its the coolest thing to wear.

Hello, Yep, those rubber yellow bracelets are still pretty popular. I'm 16 and I wear one, many other kids at my school do too. Something about them just looks soo cool.
