Description
A drink with a terrible taste and an incredibly lame gimmick: little balls of flavored matter floating within. Offered in such mouth-watering flavor as bubblegum and black cherry. The only bottles I saw were unrefrigerated at the local Camelot music.

I loved those! Granted I think I only tried a citrusy one, but loved the little balls of flavor. It does sound ridiculous though.

I remember drinking those when I was little. They were my first choice of drink to take on a field trip. Only if they still made them. How ever if your looking to collect them they do sale them on ebay to be purchased. They were good to me ha but then again I was a kid then.

They were the first product that I ever saw with a web address printed on it. Now every company seems to put their www dot whatever address on it. The internet was new and here was this futuristic looking drink. Unfortunately it tasted pretty bad.

I remember these, they were gross, but they were so cool looking. I remember my mom used to pack them in my lunch and all the kids would want to trade with me.

I use to love these, granted they take awhile to get use to but they taste great. I wish they still made them. My mom drank these with me everyday for years, strawberry is freakin awsome.

I still have two bottles of these. I saved them as a collectors item. When you shake them they're sort of like a lava lamp.

I was in 5th grade when my mom bought these all the time...I didn't want to drink them at first because I thought they were an adult drink..like some kind of alcohol or something...but I finally did and loved them. I dont remember whatsoever what it tasted like anymore, but Ide love to see them come back!

I wish they would bring these back! I seriously loved them.

I know this stuff got horrible reviews, but I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever, and that it tasted awesome. I'm one of those people that would probably buy a bottle on eBay just for nostalgia...

just yuck.

I remember Orbitz very well, and I drank lots of the stuff. Unlike a lot of other people, including others who have commented above me, I loved it, and I stockpiled enough of the stuff that I drank the last one in 2003. Unfortunately, I could not digest the jelly beads properly, yet I wish that they were still around. Whenever I bring up the name, the online travel agency or whatever it is, also called Orbitz, usually comes to mind.

Ughhhhh it was like drinking pure sugar syrup. So gross. Yet so cool at the same time.
luluismydog - May 19, 2009 - Report this comment
they need to bring these back...its basically like bubble tea but the bubbles are floating. my only suggestion is to stick to normal flavours. i mean, WHY would they think pineapple/banana/cherry/coconut would be a good flavour? if they came in grape, strawberry and maybe a even lime, they'd probably be pretty popular.
Aricka - August 25, 2009 - Report this comment
I remember a girl brought the red one to school one day and everyone crowded around her in the lunch room freaking out. I tried it a few days later and was grossed out...so I tried all of the flavors thinking they would be better but they all tasted the same to me...gross. The clear liquid was super thick and it made me gag. I always tried to drink it and keep the gel balls in my mouth...the scariest part is, they are on sale at Ebay 13 years later and nothing is molded, changed color, or dissolved! And the beads are still suspended in the liquid! WTF is this stuff made out of????

This drink is my first memory. I remember my dad coming home with a drink, and mind you i was 4 at the time, and the drink had white and red "dot" in it and i couldn't wait to try it. i remember liking it but after that i nerve saw it again till today in my chemistry class. I'm in 10th grade. I would like to see this drink again so i can remember the taste of it again. But i doubt that will happen with all the negative talk it got.

Holy crap!!! i was just thinking about these not too long ago. i always remember seeing these in the stores but never had the oppertunity of trying any of these. I thought it was cool with the little balls floating in the drink. They are discontinued right?

If you didn't try one, you didn't miss anything. I was about, probably age 13 (around 96 or 97) the first time I first tried one. That would be my first AND last time I ever drank an Orbitz. They looked cool like a lava lamp but tasted really terrible, drinking a real lava lamp might have tasted better. Nasty flavor, nasty texture, it was so bad I still remember wanting to rinse my mouth out afterward! I'm surprised they managed to stay on the market as long as they did.
hawerchuk - July 10, 2010 - Report this comment
I remember that if you mixed Orbitz with tequila or vodka, the little balls would sink to the bottom... but it still tasted vile.

I was like 7 when this came out. My sister saw them and bought some. They look good and they were good. I wish orbiz came back.

Quite a memorable drink, I recall having it twice. I can remember my mom buying a couple for us to try and being really grossed out by it. And another time maybe later in the year I bought one and grossed out my cousin out by gathering all the little dots in my mouth and spitting them out one at a time.

I guess these were the precursor to bubble teas but they didn't taste as good. I remember one flavour, maybe orange?, was decent. I thought they looked cool at the time.
Mitch - December 28, 2012 - Report this comment
This stuff was disgusting. The clear liquid was as thick as syrup and had an overpowering flavor of whatever it was. The little balls didn't really have any flavor at all, and these weren't cheap even at 7-11 and the bottles weren't large. There are some bottles for sale on eBay, and like Aricka said above, the balls still haven't dissolved. That really should concern you seeing as how some of those bottles are nearly 15 years old.

Does anyone remember the ones that came in the cool looking bottle? I don't remember the bottle looking like this.. I don't think it was Orbitz, or maybe it was? My co-worker does not remember these and i wanted to show her!

These were great! I used to sip out all the liquid and save the little jelly balls for last.
