Description
This was a limited time offering from Taco Bell to promote the movie Congo in 1995. Spicier than almost anything Taco Bell has ever produced. It is my favorite Taco Bell product ever.

I agree. The volcano burrito was tremendous. Does anyone remember what all came in it? I feel like it had rice, beans, cheese, meat, and was chock full of spicy goodness.

I just went to taco bell for lunch & got the Volcano Taco (yes, it's back). I never had one back in 1995, but I saw it advertised here in Dumfries, VA & thought I would try it. Whooa it sure is hot & yummy! Hold on Guy's maybe it's coming your way next..

the volcano taco isn't the same as the volcano burrito. for one thing, the volcano burrito was huge

I worked at Taco Bell while in High School during that time. I remember it having beef, beans, rice, nacho cheese, pizza sauce, and possibly some lettuce. That was the best burrito ever! Haven't had the Volcano taco yet. Thought about going to a Taco Bell alte one night and have them make me one special order:)

I don't remember having the Volcano Burrito but the new Volcano Taco is A+. Very spicy and better tasting then any of the sauces you can add to it.

I think the new volcano taco is soo yummy!! It has the best taste ever!! And yes, Taco Bell is bringing backl the Volcano Burrito in a few weeks from now. Although I have been working at Taco Bell for 4 years, and have gained 137 lbs as a result of working there...it's sooo tasteful!!!

Volcano burrito is back or rather on with the same name, i had one and was quite dissatisfied to find out that even taco bell's mild sauce is spicier than the thing i would suggest not paying the $3 for something that is not even close to being spicy as advertised.

Had the new Volcano Burrito the other day. As someone who enjoyed the original, I was disappointed. Not even close to the same thing, and nowhere near as good. The cheesy double beef burrito is much better, and only 89 cents.

Just had the Volcano Box Meal. Came with volcano burrito, volcano taco, crunchy taco, cinnamon twists and a large drink for $5.99...great deal, but defintely not as good as the original!

Yeah, I remember the old volcano burrito with the red sauce. Great stuff. I tried the new one, and I thought it was pretty good too, but definitely a different burrito than the one we knew over a decade ago.

On a side Volcano note, I love the new Volcano Nachos!!! However they do come out hot (the burn, the burn!!!) and runny about 30 min. after I eat the last chip. The volcano cheese and pepper combo really causes a Gut Bomb style atmosphere in my stomach, and in my porcelain god!!! At least my pants remained clean (notice I didn't mention my drawers though...a bit streaked).

I think the new ones are great, but they're too expensive!

I was so excited when they "brought back" the Volcano Burrito. I finally got the chance to have one a few weeks ago, but it wasn't the same. It was very good, albeit hot enough to melt through a Buick, but certainly not the original Volcano Burrito of yore. Sad.

I must say, the Volcano Burrito lit a fire inside of me like no other kind of food...Unfortunately, the fire I'm referring to caused me some intense pain and shock. I remember picking a few of these gut bombs up, and sucking them down in my car. I ate the three volcano burritos that I picked up in under 2 minutes. I pulled out of the parking lot, and jumped on the highway to head home. Within a few minutes I started to pour sweat, and my stomach was making loud gurgling sounds. I squeezed my cheeks together to try to stop the pain, but my move back-fired! I swerved off of the highway, and stopped my car in the breakdown lane. I ran up the grass hill alongside the highway, as I left my car running. I had zero cover as I started my show on the hillside. Cars started honking at me as I undid my pants, and proceeded to fire off a cannon from inside of my stomach…..KABOOM!!!! I didn’t have any t.p., so I left my soiled boxers on the hillside, and I walked back to my car. Flies were buzzing around me like a flower pot, as I reeked of sweat and poo!!! I made it home, and was about to jump in the shower, when my wife stormed into the can and said, “hurry up in here because I just picked up some Volcano Burritos from the Bell for dinner, and I don’t want them to get cold!!!!” Here we go again!!!

god i loved these. according to the commercials on youtube, the 'wild taco' and burrito, came out in 93. the volcano burrito came in 95, with the movie Congo. and i dont remember them having pizza sauce in them. i dont think i woulda liked having that in my burrito at that age.
