The following are comments left about Waffle Crisp Cereal from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. Dear to my heart, this is a comfort food I have occasionally, like twice a year maybe. Mmmmm, sugary, mapley, goodness, like the waffles ma used to make.
this was the best cereal ever made!
i wish they were still sold in my area like the websites state they are, but the stores tell me different
The Waffle Crisp sold in stores today is nothing compared to the ORIGINAL version, which heralded much larger cereal pieces (think Honeycomb) each with a crystal coating of pure (artificial) maple sugar goodness. Yum, yum - bring on the insulin shock. They discontinued this version somewhere around 1999 in favor of a scaled-back product with smaller squares and milder flavor (probably lower in sugar). NOT AS TASTY!!!
I am so made that Waffle Crisp cereal is not sold any where in the state of Arizona that was the best cereal ever.
This cereal is still delicious, but the bigger pieces did seem to have a little more flavor. Waffle Crisp is absolutely impossible to find in my area in Los Angeles, and when I do the cereal is ridiculously overpriced for the smallest boxes. I don't know why this cereal has to be so pricey and rare, it's gonna be a sad day when Post cans this cereal.
I used to buy Waffle Crisp at Walmart or at BiLo, now the only grocery store that still sells it is Ingles.
I love this cereal beyond words but according to store websites, the only chain that now carries it in my state (Connecticut) is A&P Supermarkets, which are nowhere near where i live.
That's true... I live in Connecticut also and I only seen it at the smaller chain stores such as A&P, Price Rite, Sav-A-Lot, and I believe C-Town might have it too!
Loved it but was the sweetest thing I've ever tasted
I love waffle crisp so much. I could live off of it, but I haven't had it in years because I can't find it in any stores!! Why get rid of the best tasting cereal in the world? It's sad that the youth of America can't experience the wonder that once was Waffle Crisp Cereal.
I thought waffle crisp was gone for good! I was talking to my husband about it, and I went to work, and he went grocery shopping and found some in an A+P grocery store in Oak Ridge, NJ. This was about 8 months ago. If you don't have an A+P near you, you might be able to order from their website. =]
