I remember EVERYONE had Warheads and I was the only one who didn't. Then one day my dad promised to take me to the drug store and buy me and my sister $5 worth of them (they were 5 cents each then). I remember I was so excited and they were pretty good. They died out pretty quick but I still buy them at times.

I remember the old Atomic Warheads (not the ones they sell now). There was Sour Apple, Sour Lemon, Hot Cherry, and Hot Grape. The sour ones were almost too much, as a kid anyways, but the hot flavors were just weird. Hot Cherry? Hot Grape? Those are NOT flavors that go well with hot!

I think the best one they make now is black cherry.

Everyone used to rush to our school's snack bar and buy all the Warheads. If you were at the end of the line, no Warheads for you!!

the purple ones were the most sour and after the sour were off they tasted pretty good we would always trade flavors with the neighborhood kids.

How could they discontinue from poularity? Everyone i knew loved them. If they brought them back i think they would be a sucsess. I can remember ever time you ate them you could not help but to make a face they would make your jaws hurt. But it was fun.

My brother used to eat these b the gallons without a wince. I remember holding them in my mouth for less than 30secs, eyes watery and jaw about to fall off. These were always a part of our bets and dares lol.

I remember on a trip with my family, my mom bought me 3 of the big packs, and I ate all of them. I would rub the sour off on my tongue and then let them melt in my mouth. Well, when I got done eating all of them I noticed there was a big red spot in the middle of my tongue, I couldn't eat anything with acid in it for a week. It was great. I love those things.

I rememb3er Warheads when I was in the first grade. I remember we used to have this snack machine at my old school and everyone would buy them. I remember, if you didn't think it was sour, then you were considered cool, so we would all try to pretend it wasn't sour (when it clearly was) Man these kids today don't know anything about that dangerous candy. They got all of this safe stuff now. They are missing out on allthe fun candies like Warheads!

I loveee these! I have some in my house right now. I remember when they had the ones that had the fizz in the middle...I wish they still sold them!

Oh man! Nobody remembers the fizzy ones! I'm so glad I didn't make that up!! The lemon were ironically the least sour, but I'd always cheat and rinse off the sour coating in the sink, because the candy was actually pretty good.

I adored Warheads. Everybody had them or wanted them. I even remember the suckers that ate the skin off my tongue.
SYC - September 03, 2011 - Report this comment
I absolutely loved the Black Cherry ones and I still remember the fizzy ones too! I used to drink soda while I had one of the candies in my mouth and let it tingle/pop like Pop Rocks. Does anybody know if Warheads are still out there?
K - October 16, 2011 - Report this comment
The fizzy ones were the best! Yes, Warheads still exist . . . the only place I can usually find them is Walgreens. Hopefully, they won't ever disappear completely from stores the way Shocktarts did a few years ago.

they are so sour my fave.

Warheads used to be called MEGA WARHEADS and when they sold over the flavors went as well. The spicy flavors (red, orange, grape) were HOT and the Lemon was EXTREMELY sour (sour apple came second in sourness after the lemon). I recall later on a raspberry in the magenta wrapper, sour apple-green, blue raspberry. Now warheads are simply sweet tasting and will never compare to MEGA-WARHEADS

I used to grab these all the time as a kid. I remember the HOT variety, those were awesome. I remember a cherry flavour, grape, raspberry and a few others I can't remember. I also remember a fizzy variety at one point. I loved the sour MegaWarheads ones the best.
