Description
The gimmick with Magic Nursery Babies was that it was supposed to be like taking a real baby home and finding out all about it's unique features. The Magic Nursery Baby came with a dissolveable hospital gown that, once immersed in water, would dissintigrate and a little package would be left telling you the baby's sex and giving you a new pair of clothes for your baby. You then got to see if your baby had long or short hair, innie or outie bellybutton, etc., and write it all down in a little baby book that came with the doll. Another feature of the dolls was a heart on their cheek, which (supposedly) if you kissed it, would turn into a star. The heart was supposed to disappear with heat, so more often then not just kissing the doll's cheek wasn't enough to make the star appear! I was about eight or nine (1991-92) when I had these dolls, and my best friend and I were nuts over them.

I have been trying to find this doll for a very long time. I didn't remember the name of it. I am so glad I found it people never believe me when I tell them there was a doll out there whose clothes disintegrated once immersed in water.I loved this doll so very much when I was a little girl I think I was about five when I had this doll. Thank you to whoever posted this doll!!!

I had one of these...I got her for Christmas but for some reason I didn't get to disolve the package like I wanted to...no one would let me near a sink lol so I just tore it open. It was a set of pj's and she had a pink toothbrush that I still have somewhere and I think I may still have the doll. I remember the heart/star thing on her cheek. She had long curly brown hair and she had a thing on the top of her head that you could push or pull and teeth would disappear or reappear like she was teething.

I was OBSESSED with these dolls. I had all of the different versions. I'd love to still have one today to give to a girl I eventually have.

I had one of those dolls. I also used to get those little magic nursery kits for like 2.00 that was a package you would immerse in water and it gave you mini babies you could use with barbie dolls as her children. It came with up to 3 or 4 babies and accessories and/or little furniture like car seats, little beds, etc. It was always a surprise what you got, and I always got them at Walgreens as a kid.
