Description
This barbie came out in 1992, and was made into major controversy. Barbie would say things like "Wanna have a pizza party?", "You Look So Cool", and other assorted things. One thing some of the dolls said sent some mothers into a fit--"Math class is hard". They thought the plastic doll would send the wrong message to little girls by telling them that girls can't do well in mathematics. Only a few thousand were produced with the "Math class is hard" saying and I haven't seen any talking Barbies since.

the 2000s pregnant (and also totally unwed) barbie doll with the detatachable magnetic belly and baby, did that to Walmart moms, to probably cut down on cost, or just by not remembering to put a ring in the doll, a few moms had a fit and now they all have rings. HONESTLY HOW MANY LITTLE KIDS ARE GONNA NOTICE? Most of my Barbie dolls have holes in there finger when they insert plastic rings in them, I had like a breakdancer barbie too when I was like 8, she wore blue curdory overhauls, a long sleeved belly exposing shirt and a thumb ring, and she had bendable elbow and knee joints, and you could streak her hair blue with this wash out "mascara" for your hair as well as your barbie.

I agree no teenagers play with barbies anymore, they are too grownup to play with dolls and i believe it is wrong to let them play with dolls when they are over the age of 12. thank you. im sorry. barbieHater.

I loved barbie back in the day! baribe was soo cool. I remember pregnant barbie, talking barbie, etc. My sisters and i were lucky enough to have a barbie room! We played with barbies all the time, and still have them all saved today in rubber crates with locking lids. My parents even made us several barbie houses! Ahh...those were the days! Barbie is not the same anymore. Now they shrunk her chest and gave her bigger hips to appeal to more people...Not as impressed! Oh, i remember Ken little brother Todd or tommy?? Something like that. How Barbie had kelly as a sibling! Fun times! I'm glad i grew up in the 90's. We had all the cool toys!

I totally agree with kelly! How are the dolls even related to each other anyways?

Hi. I am 12. I still like Barbies, and why shouldn't I? I have at least ten friends who like them. They're great figures to make clothes for, try out new styles on and play with. I agree, most people my age don't like them, but they like other dolls such as Bratz (those dolls with the massive heads).

I have this Barbie unopened in its box. My mom had bought it brand new and told me not to open it. I had tons of Barbies but I didn't really like to play with them.

This was one of my favorite Barbies. I just loved her hair, it was a lot smoother than many of the others I had. I ended up popping off her head and transplanting her onto another body that didn't have that annoying button, I could care less if she talked. Still have her somewhere...or what's left of her lol

I remembered the day while I was at Shawna's house with my mom, the (now fired) Montessori School teacher had a few Barbies in a closet safe from the prying eyes of her children. I asked my mom to find some age appropriate Barbie licensed merchandise. Barbie is NOT 4 GIRLS ANYMORE. My age appropriate Barbie licensed merchandise list so far Barbie Game Girl (Game Boy) Barbie Super Model (Super NES and Genesis) The Barbie Diaries: High School Mystery Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale (DVD) Barbie: The Pearl Princess (DVD) Barbie & Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue (PS3) Barbie as the Island Princess (PS2 and DS) Barbie in the Pink Shoes (Blu-ray) Barbie: Dreamhouse Party (Wii) Barbie: Jet, Set & Style (Wii) Barbie & the 3 Musketeers Barbie Digital Makeover Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses (PS2 and DVD) Barbie Mariposa & the Fairy Princess (DVD) Barbie & the Magic of Pegasus (VHS) Barbie in the Nutcracker (VHS) Barbie as Rapunzel (DVD) Some Generation Girl Novels I also had a DVD movie of Bratz (from 2007) in which the film had real life actors portraying their real life versions of those dolls with the massive heads (and video games based on them in which I think these are for PlayStation 2). Bratz (the movie) is rated PG.
